A window of opportunity

As you might have guessed, Pam and I have been a bit preoccupied this week. Our friends, Hugh and Angela are over this week and so we are entertaining them and they are sleeping in the room which houses my desktop computer which restrict me to using my MacBook in the lounge.

This next week also marks the 40th birthday of my good friend Pete back in Liverpool. He invited us to the party which was held last night but of course we weren't able to go.

I understand that it was an excellent affair enjoyed by all. When I say all, that includes the contingent that are over from Finland (the country where Pete's wife Laura came from).

The actual birthday is on Tuesday, I sincerely hope that Pete enjoys the card and present I sent him well in advance.

Back to our visitors: Hugh brings one of his seven bikes over when he visits so he can go for rides. The bike arrived fine but one of the tyres had a puncture which we could not repair because the rubber solution that we both had in stock was dried up. A quick visit to Decathalon at La Zenia sorted that out and Hugh is now armed with two working spare tubes as well.
